So, what an amazing first week without sugar in my diet... and the inspiration to make other lifestyle changes has begun.
For years, I've envied the men and women who've been successful with a capsule wardrobe. Those guys and gals that can limit their style to a solid 15-20 items that work for them, day in and day out.
Gotta be honest, I've noticed I've defaulted to the same outfits over and over, but with thousands of choices in my closet (yeah, I am ashamed to admit that) I really don't use 90% of what I own.
Before I donate umpteen bags to charity, I cleared out my closet to a "sample" capsule wardrobe of 17 items. I'm going to see how this works for me over the next few weeks. If I find that my style choices are realistic and flattering, then I'm going all in. If I find that I am not getting the desired benefits of simplicity and clarity when choosing an outfit for the day, then I'm going to reconsider the pieces and modify as needed. But I'm pretty certain this direction is the next calling for me.
I don't believe there's any room for looking less than your personal best each day. Feeling good is truly the number one ingredient in living our best life.
